I remember the Philly skyline
from the bridge across the Delaware,
hazy, grayish, out of focus,
on a crisp October day,
far away.
Now it’s sharp, black, drenched in orange
getting closer by the second,
while the evening sky wraps around it.
Some places make us feel at home
long before we know them.
